No one was excited for Stevenson-Fonfara, everyone on here thought it was a mismatch, although I thought Fonfara had a chance, the actual match itself was fairly one sided and dull aside from the Fonfara KD of Stevenson and the last few rounds when they'd both lost their power.

Ward's matches with Rodriguez, Abraham and Kessler were all fairly entertaining, and the last few rounds Froch made their match somewhat interesting.

Kovalev-Stevenson will be a rout, Stevenson might last 2 to 3 rounds, easy work by Kovalev.

Beterbiev is too green and still unproven in my eyes, every one he's beaten has been a bum except for Cloud and I fully believe had Kovalev fought Cloud, the exact same thing would have happen, Kovalev is levels above Beterbiev at this point.

Kovalev-Ward, while I think Kovalev will win on points or by KO, Ward will make it far more competitive than Stevenson and even most likely Beterbiev at this point.

I think he was talking about Ward's tendencies to hug and headbutt. Which leads to some Boeing fights.

Rigo and Lara just run away. Ward hugs his way to decisions.

Which one is worse and more boring?

Rigo's running bores me more. I for some strange reason don't find Lara all that dull.

That's how I see it as well, yeah. But,

A big LOL at this.

Stevenson surely has the power to KO Kovalev if he gets reckless, but I don't think Kovalev would do that. He'd control the fight with his jab, and break him down to until he quits or considering Stevenson is not nearly as durable as Pascal, he'd probably go to sleep early.

Would have voted for Kovalev vs Ward if it was an option.

    Voted Rigo vs Lomachenko.

I'm being serious about that (and agreed with everything else you said, too).

I really don't see Canelo having a chance outside of some freak occurrence, like a cut, or an injury, or a weird DQ, or something that has this place in an uproar.

Golovkin's style seems so so wrong for Canelo to me.

I gather that you don't think Ward can beat Kovalev, and I don't think he actually will - but he's the only one that I think has a serious chance, unless a Beterbiev or a Stevenson caught him cold early on and he couldn't recover. But those guys have punchers chances at best (Kovalev is a superior technician to both).

I'm really curious to see how Ward looks against Barrera.

That'd probably mean Canelo will throw the title in thrash after beating Khan, unless Floyd chooses him as #50.

    yep just seems logical :bbb

Ward was the king pen at 168. He ran the table, until he starts losing he is still the guy to beat.

I'm taking into consideration if it goes the distance, Kovalev will have at least 3 or 4 extra points from the KD's.:yep Maybe 5.

I can't wait for the Ward-Barrera fight, I'm more excited by that than GGG-Canelo, the 8% to 2% chance you gave to Canelo was awfully generous.

It's just 2 guys in their prime who are elite. Right now, us not knowing exactly how close to top form Ward is makes this all the more interesting. We'll know more, of course, after Barrera and maybe another tune-up. We may not have all the answers, and we may have more questions, but we'll have some answers at least I would hope.

It's the only potential fight in the foreseeable future that I'm extremely interested in watching.

I definitely think Ward has a better chance of outmaneuvering Kovalev than you do. :D

And I would say 1-5% is probably a better guage. But the symmetry of 2s and 8s lead me in a more generous direction.

Rigo vs. Loma as far as technique/intrigue goes.

    Kovalev/Stevenson
    GGG/Canelo

Because they're important unification fights even if they're mismatches on paper, as well as being aesthetically pleasing fights(to all fans) that involve big punchers.

Let's see how Fury/Wlad II pans out before talking about those other HW fights.....

yeah Ward is a tough cookie and a great fighter regardless if you hate his style which is fair.

to write him off as having no chance against Kov as good as Kov is seems rash to me :bbb

especially if Ward looks pretty decent in his next fight :good

I think Ward can definitely beat Kovalev, but see nothing to indicate that he'll really want to fight him.
