Agreed, that fight effectively ended Earls career.

For info, this is the Graham Earl who handed a can of whoop ass to Yuri Romanov. Graham Earl, on his day, was a very dangerous fighter

    Completely disagree.

Morales showed with his terrible performance against Raheem that he was not the fighter he was. He fought two wars back to back, and not even Erik Morales could deal with that at that stage in his career. Pacquiao only ever defeated a shot Morales, and the only thing that kept Erik in the second fight for as long as lasted was his heart.

Earl came out like a bull, took the centre of the ring, applying constant pressure behind a vey effective jab, cutting the ring off very well and opened up on Romanov when he had him cornered. For the frirst 7-8 rounds Romanov had no answer whatsoever. Romanov did come on strong late on, but it was too little too late. Both fighters were shattered towards the end of the fight, but the last round was an absolute barnstormer. Earl should have just stayed behind his jab, but Earl being Earl, he got tagged and then all hell broke loose, cue a 2 minute slugfest!

It must be said that Romanov had been inactive for a year or so, and this did show if i'm being honest, but that's not to detract from Earls performance, there was no way in hell he was going to lose that fight.

well Hagler/Hearns was my first choice- but without that one being picked I go with Benn/Barkley. If I can add one more- Round 5 Foreman/Lyles

Pryor said years later that he remembers an instant where he was looking straight up at the lights. Freakin' beast didn't even blink.

Macklin - Moore is a great call. 9th was a great round, but tbh, pretty much every round was the same. Shame about what happened to Macklin though, he hasn't been the same fighter since.
