Round 3 of Cooper/Holyfield. Perhaps the best round in Heavyweight history.

Not saying this was the best by any stretch but one i personnally enjoyed was the second round of Calzaghe - Lacy, when i realised that this beast from the states who was supposed to dismember Joe and eat him up was infact a big lumbering lump of muscle who Joe had just completely taken the **** out of . Great to see.

Just thought of a belter, Tyson - Bruno 1 ,first round, that had everything. Early ( 20 secs ?? ) knockdown, british hearts sinking then an amazing comeback and even some hopes of an upset......

Some horrendous cheating by Big Frank there, followed by the customary Tyson " Arm Break " technique

Vasquez/Marquez III Round 12 was a beatdown, not a competitive round.

Round 3 of all three of their fihts were time capsule rounds.

There you're at it again you arrogant manchild. It's ignorant to have a different opinion from the infallible boxing authority known as Selfkill.

    Ridiculous.

Erik Morales fought like a lion in the second Pacquiao fight, but whereas he had plateaued as a fighter, Pacquiao's physical strengths and boxing skills were accelerating, as they have been ever since the Barrera win in '03. He's a completely different and much better fighter now. Morales fought like a lion in the second fight - in a way he was not capable of in the third fight, and the famed warrior suffered the first real knockdowns of his career and the first stoppage defeat. You cannot tell me that that doesn't have a severe mental and possibly considerable physical effect on a fighter with Morales's mentality. It would have. And although you may disagree, it is not fairly ignorant to think so, it is fairly rational.

You're missing the point...again! :patsch I can only put up with this so long before disliking you, Dinamita.

It is ignorant to completely disregard that not only was Morales involved in two back to back wars, but had been fighting wars during a career that stemmed back from the early 1990's. He was past his best days, and I don't think he had a lot left after the first fight with Manny Pacquiao. His last great performance. He was operating purely on will power and instinct after that, and Raheem beat him because he could no longer function how he used too, not because Lightweight was such an issue. The Diaz fight was a sad ending to a glittering career.

I did not say anybody who does not agree with me is ignorant! You have to factor in the circumstances, irrespective of whether it benefits the most popular fighter in the world or not (Manny Pacquiao). If you want to believe that Morales still had something to offer then that is fine by me, but you still need to consider what Morales was putting himself through at such an advanced age in Boxing.

P.S Manny looks like a complete joke in that avatar.

You repeatedly make statements and then when you're picked up on them, you wriggle out of what you said. Fine. Let's do things that way then.

Erik Morales performed in the second fight in a way he was not capable of by the third fight.

'One last great performance' would simply have been two great performances within a year had Pacquiao not performed so brilliantly on a night when Morales was capable of going 10 violent rounds - which, after the way he was eventually broken down by Pacquiao in the 2nd fight - he was no longer capable of by the third.

It's so easy to say a guy is shot when he loses to a rival, but Morales did NOT fight like a shot fighter on the night. The evidence is clear. He did fight like a shot fighter in the third fight.

You may still disagree Mr Mexico, but the reasoning is sound and not attributed to some convenient and baseless mystery decline that happened within a year.
