Too many belts has been killing boxing for a while. Interest is fractured, you have to follow the scene fairly close to know who is actually the best in a division. This is a disaster for casual fans (money) who just want to know who THE champ is. There should be one belt per weight class, and one mandatory position that said champion fights against. Everyone fights to become mandatory, then fights the champ. Is it even possible to go back to this?
Support apb aiba branch into pro boxing, if that gets big enough boxing will be run like the NFL or NBA and will only have one champ per devision and proper rankings
the only way I can think of is if some financial bigwig who loves the sport decides to buy out the federations and create one that has no invested/direct interest or profit in any match-making, rankings etc... it's a fantasy set-up, but I can't think of any other way it could work
belts wouldnt matter if the best fought the best....there is no point when the best avoids the other best in the same division....belt or no belt..
