Obviously whoever beats Mayweather will pick up one of the best wins in boxing history.

However, ESB will have you believe that Canelo beating Mayweather means nothing since Floyd is 36 years old, shot to ****, and a super featherweight. ESB will not value a JMW beating a SFW. Because ESB is filled with crazy dumb *******s.

Canelo, because according to most Floyd fans on this board, he's an overrated Ginger piece of low-level trash who just lost to an average fighter in Trout.

More seriously though, Canelo is just 22 years old and might be on the verge of outgrowing the weight class. Anyway you slice it, he's far from prime himself. Floyd is in the opposite direction of Canelo, but still closer to his prime than Alvarez is.

Floyd is an ATG-level fighter who has won titles at 154 before. We don't know if Alvarez is an ATG-level fighter yet.

Floyd is the proven ATG whereas Canelo is a promising upstart. Canelo might be heavier, physically stronger, and a harder puncher, but Floyd has every other physical advantage, and all of those together, plus the skills gap and the huge gulf in Floyd's favor in terms of world-level experience, all mean that this is both a fair fight and one where Floyd would be the favorite in.

Both would get plenty of credit for the win if it takes place at 154 with no other stipulations, but Canelo would get more due to the factors I listed.

Yep. And a Floyd win will be against a hype-job who was nearly ko'd by Cotto's brother. There's no such thing as a good, well-fought win. We need a glass-jawed bum to be the loser.

    Obviously Canelo beating Floyd
Floyd has never been beaten forget the age and weight beating Floyd Mayweather will put you down in history forever
Floyd is still effective at 154 the Cotto fight was more to do with styles and him not moving as much

Canelo beating Floyd at 147 > Floyd beating Canelo at 154

If Canelo beats Floyd at 154, he gets some credit. Floyd gets exorbitantly more credit for beating Saul at 154. Canelo should be expected to beat Floyd at 154. Floyd is expected to beat Canelo at 147.
