First they say it occured while sparring, now he's saying that it didnt happen while sparring. When questioned about it by reporters, he says he will not discuss nor answer any questions pertaining to his injury. Quote: "Believe me, it wasn't a small guy that done it, but it didn't even come from sparring," Mayweather said. "When it happened, I tried to work through it. I was sparring for a while, but then it happened again. I said, 'You know what, I can't try to be a superhero. I've got to take time off and let it heal.' I'd never tell exactly what happened. I just had a rib injury." I also read that Mayweather and his camp dont want to discuss the nature of his rib injury because they dont want to give Marquez any info that he can use during the fight. Ok, now if you're disclosing that you endured a rib injury, is that enough info for your opponent to have? :huh
Same here. I even read an interview that they had with the guy who supposebly hurt him. Trying to remember now where i read it. When I find it, i'll post it.
That was a lie, Floyd has no injury he's just postponing because the ticket sales are in the shitter.
By the way they're acting, this theory seems to be correct. I mean, if you suffered an injury while training, what's the big deal/secret? It happens all the time.
Juxtaposing his claim of being "the man". "The man" wouldn't have to postpone a fight due to poor ticket sales.
Apperently not, theres another thread in which Floyd says he will never fight Pacquiao unless he gets the "lionshare" of the money. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155127
Not taking side here but like it or not Manny is the draw here (if you don't beleve me check the sales for Mayweather/Marquez) they know that the only fight for Floyd thats not against a Welterweight is against Manny and now that Manny is huge they are thrying to take advantage and market Pacquiao for more money.
Now that hes saying hed pay JMM out to fight Pac for more money, to me, seems even more likely that ticket sales were the reason for the postponement. Pac has had more stunning bouts recently, hes more exciting to watch and coming from the background he came from makes him much more likeable than Mr trashtalking Mayweather. I guess "Money" isnt all that money-makeable like he thought he was.
Check the sales of Marquez-Mayweather?? I bet it does more then Pac-JMM, plus Mayweather did more buys against DLH and Hatton so how can you possibly say Pacquiao is the bigger draw:huh
