Glass jaw, hands down. Feather fisted guys have to be slicker boxers to win, so in a way having light punches can help one to develop more skills and defense. You can't really do much with a glass jaw.

there is not a bigger disgrace in Boxing than having a Glass Jaw. At least if you are feather fisted and have a Chin you can win some fights.

    Jaw, easily.

In about 9 out of 10 cases, a fighter perceived as "feather fisted" is a much sterner puncher than the fan calling him "feather fisted" realizes.

There's nothing ambiguous about a glass jaw. Can't be hidden, can rarely be overcome.

You can win some fights with a glass jaw.

Terry Norris lost a few fights due to a dodgy chin but it doesn't stop him being one of the greatest JMW champions of all time :deal

Tommy Morrison had a rubbish chin but was a World Heavyweight Champion :deal

Tommy Hearns had a glass jaw :deal

Rico, you think Roy Jones has one of the worst glass jaws in history, yet a lot of people believe him to be one of the greatest fighters in history :deal

Frank Bruno; short-lived WBC champion :deal

Just a few, somewhat obvious examples. There are many others of course. Hell, Amir Khan held an 'Intercontinental' title with a glass jaw and holds a 'Win' (however meaningless) over the Legendary Marco Antonio Barrera. Now even I would say he has a 'glass jaw' but it hasn't stopped him from doing something.

You say that being feather fisted makes 'movers' and guys with better skills, but isn't that the same of fighters with glass jaws. Khan, as an example again, is trying to rectify his chin problem by being more of a mover. He can. Julian Jackson couldn't, which is why when slugging it out didn't work, it didn't work at all.

Frank Bruno also did this, becoming almost a complete jabber as he progressed through his career. Watch as he just about avoids getting sparked by McCall at the end of their fight, but he manages it through awkwardness and the constand plodding jab.

Something Wladimir Klitschko has also done in recent years.

    Consider yourself owned my friend.

Although myself think that having a glass jaw is more of a handicap than being feather fisted. Khan might never make it to the top. Ivan Calderon is an undefeated two-weight World champion is most 'experts' top 10 P4P lists.

    The case is closed.

Er, having poor punch resistance, obviously (don't really like the term 'glass jaw').

I would definitely not want to be featherfisted. That's a good way to get your ass beat outside a boxing ring. And you would have to run about the entire time you're in the ring. I couldn't deal with that ****. I would plaster my **** up like Margo.

There's nothing worse than having a glass jaw... Without a decent to above average jaw, it's nearly impossible for one to have success against the elite competition..

Power is different though.. A fighter who's featherfisted are usually gifted with a decent, above average, or granite chin like Malignaggi and Cory spinks and that's fine.. They make up for their lack of power with their speed and their boxing ability..

Having a GLASS chin is the worst flaw.

Yu don't see Paulie Malignaggi or Ivan Calderon knocking people out like Calzaghe did to Mario Veit, Byron Mitchell and :)lol:) Tocker Pudwill.

You often see feather-fisted 'boxers' outslicking and dominating a power punching opponent, but not also dishing out the beating that Joe C gave Lacy.

I'm not nuthugger of Calzaghe's. He maybe breaks my all-time top 100 on a good day, and I actually find Froch far more likeable, he wants challenges NOW and wants good fighters, and I respect that in him. I can see why the derisory tone for Calzaghe, but he is not feather fisted. Hand injuries prevented him from really stepping on the gas late in his career.

I guess you could say the same about Malignaggi, but it's clear there's no power on him. Calderon, for my knowledge, has no hand problems.

There's 'moderate hitter' then there's 'feather fisted' and Calzaghe was most definitely not feather fisted.

  14. True....

Yet there is not a bigger discrace in life than having a glass ****...

I feel ever so sorry for you...

Glen Johnson is another one I've heard called "feather fisted" around here.

Chad Dawson was in a BIG hurry to feel those punches again.
