Moorer beat one heavyweight in the top 10.

I'll just leave this here. Your response is typical boiler plate stuff that's not giving Moorer the credit he deserves. This is the go to argument that haters use because no neck doesn't have a good excuse as to Moorer being a three time world champion. When they cannot assail the boxers accomplishments in the ring, they target his resume. 22KOs in 22 fights is VERY impressive.

WBO doesn't count both because it didn't count back then and we're talking about heavyweights. Al Cole had a much better run below heavyweight if you want to go there.

Beat Holyfield who had an active heart condition.

Regained belt without beating or defending against any serious contenders.

    22KO I'm 22 fights? What's your synthetic excuse for devaluing this ?

Then Tyson wasn’t unified champ because of Damiani.

He was a unfied champion regardless of whether you consider the WBO legitimate.

If you consider the WBO legitimate then you wouldn't consider him the undisputed champion.

Nobody considered the WBO legitimate in the 80s and early 90s. Hence, Moorer’s terrorizing of the greats known as Leslie Stewart and Frankie Swindell is of little importance.

Be that as it may, you implied Tyson wouldn't have been a unified champion if the WBO was considered legitimate. I was merely pointing out that he was a unified champion regardless of your views on the legitimacy of the WBO.

Very warped thinking going on here. He was also undefeated until he lost the title to foreman.

Other than an off night Holyfield, he hadn’t actually beaten anyone good.

it's true. However, I still give him credit for his win over holyfield which is impressive in its own right. That being said, I understand he is not given much credit as a classical champion might get. But regarding the hole in Holyfields heart? Didnt that turn out to be a no existent problem?

This is true. Where the IBF was awarding their inaugural belts to the rightful - or stronger - champ or vacant for their next title defence (e. g. Holmes, Hagler, Curry) the WBO at the time seem to want to award their title to any Tom, Doug and Elvis (Alvarez).

Kronk and UK middleweight spied a marketing opportunity and jumped at it. It gained some traction after this but was definitely viewed as a paper belt for a good while, with justification.
