He didn’t have a hole in his heart, but after the fight his lungs were filling with fluid from his heart not pumping correctly. I think it might’ve been pulmonary hypertension.

Foreman eating all those combinations from Holyfield like they relatively weren't s**t was more of an accomplishment than beating Moorer

Um what? We always knew Foreman’s chin was iron.

how many of Foreman's fights went long enough against a big puncher to really test his chin though, I would say his chin wasn't really tested in his first 41 fights, after that it was Lyle, the Lyle fight is the primary reason why people consider him to have a great chin, and after that it was Holyfield, arguments could be made for the Jimmy Young fight, but I think that if it had gone 15 Young would have secured a KO, and I suppose Morrison landed some bombs

I think you should drop it. Everyone who knows the George Foreman story knows his chin was iron there is really nothing more to say. For example, his fight against Lyle was a test piece of a fellow heavyweight who hit almost as hard as Foreman himself. Foreman was floored twice in the 4th round (and that's not including the flush overhand right that Foreman absorbed at the end of round one ) yet he beat the count both times and in the fifth (where he was nearly floored as well) but came back to ko Lyle later in the round.

not saying he doesn't have a great chin, but Lyle and Holyfield were the only two to really test it, and if it wasn't for Lyle there wouldn't be much evidence before his second run

This speaks to the sheer terror opponents felt when fighting Foreman. Nobody could get to him for fear of getting knocked the **** out.

Forma s defence has always been underrated

one of my favorite things about Foreman's technique was the "old world" arm bracing/parrying he would use, granted it was his unique build/size that allowed him to implement it so effectively, but he shut down a lot of opponents' offense with it, and at that point he was in close enough to destroy them
