He's young, huge, already more experienced in the UFC than many vets of the sport, and he's getting better and smarter fight by fight. He's fan-friendly, and it seems like he'll hang around in the UFC for probably another decade.

What do you think he is capable of?

    * Will he win gold at some stage?

    * Be a longtime high-level contender, get a title shot or two, but be turned away by the likes of JDS?

    * A Kongo-style career gatekeeper, weeding out the real contenders from the wannabes but always losing the fight that would get him his big title shot?

    * Or has he already maximized his ability, and a respectable career in the lower reaches of the top 10 (with a terrific resume by the end) is what lies ahead for the Skyscraper? :think

    :hat

Its a really difficult question, my big worry with Struve is his frame, he's too long and slow, MMA is dynamic, the longer slower guys struggle with short compact dynamic movement, im firmly of the belief that if Miocic bulldozered in on Struve he would of flattened him Roy Nelson style

The small gloves and lack of protection is just too much of a hinderance for guys like Struve who like to plod and surgically pick out strikes, basically because there too slow to do anything else, i dont think he'll be a champion, that much i will say!!

As far his progression goes, he's getting better, definitely !!, in almost every aspect of his game the guy is improving, as long as he keeps improving he'll be relevant, he's fun to watch, always gets tagged and wobbled and is pretty skilled himself

Difficult to dislike Struve, but never going to be top of the pile IMHO

All of the above said i think he does match Werdum well enough to warrant the fight

And if he was to beat Werdum well he's right in the mix isnt he !

I'd love to see him learn howto use his physical attributes better. His jab could be insane, and his elbows would be vicious.

I think he'll cut his space out at the bottom of the top, he'll be a slightly higher level gatekeeper, but never a genuine contender.

Let's see him fight Kongo. Old guard gatekeeper vs. new guard gatekeeper.

I like Struve. He doesn't know how to have a boring fight.

I reckon he might be a top 5 gatekeeper and get a title shot at some point but will most likely lose the fight. Even tho i like Struve i dont see him being a champ one day.
He tends to get hit and if the guy packs some power in his punches Struve falls down like a skyscraper.

Struve is only 24. in 4-5 more years a lot of the names we've come accustomed to will be long gone. Struve will likely still be there, and will be a lot better. potential champion for sure.

He has a much better chance of becoming champ at HW than the can crushing bum in your AV has at MW.

Stefan Struve is improving, and hasn't reached his physical prime yet.

Potential champ is top 5 contender in The UFC. I use to box and everyone is matched evenly once they break into The Top 10.

JDS is a beast, but he won't be champion forever. UFC don't give a ****, and he will be worn out.
