He had so much pressure on him to succeed. I think the emotion letdown after the Hamsho loss took some good years out of his career, though he had something of an Indian Summer later on.

He was a good fighter, not a great one. He was he kind of guy that was good for TV. He could give just about any fighter trouble.

czyz said that hamsho was just to strong for him! going into the hamsho fight there was big talk of a hagler fight if bobby was to get past hamsho

I think he had skill but was rushed by the Duva's into Hamsho and did not benifit from having Ayala as a stablemate...Bobby was intellegent and tough as he proved as he moved up. As a fighter...good

A good, basic fighter who probably achieved more than what was expected.

Good fighter. They've already devalued the Hall of Fame with some of the guys who are already in. Disregarding who's already in, I don't believe Czyz should be a Hall of Famer.

Good fighter, interesting stories about Czyz and his father. He had no business at heavyweight but he was a good fighter, and I agree an excellent commentator, just couldnt stay off the sauce, which ruined his commentating career.

As other's have said, a good fighter who made the most of what he had, and that was an ability to absorb punishment when needed, smarts and persistently good body punching. Given his small reach, I think he did very well to take away his opponents strengths at times. His resumé to be honest is mainly consistant of former Spinks victims like McDonald, Sears and Sutherland. A shame he missed out on the Spinks/Qawi/Eddie Mustafa/Johnson/Saad era.

Bad choice of words on my part. I'd rather not get in to putting down fighters I really liked. I was a huge Barry McGuigan fan but I don't believe he did enough to be a Hall of Famer (which is very subjective to begin with). One could argue that if McGuigan is in, Czyz should be in. I think the line should be drawn a little higher than both. Just my opinion.
