What's the closest, most difficult fight to score you've ever seen?

  1. Pff I saw mora on the contender and vs forrest x2 and his style isnt fanpleasing, but I do think he has some skills.
If I recall correctly that fight was a ppv as well, a good waste of money for the people then.

Barrera in his prime would've beat Marquez hands down as Marquez has shown several times he is a sucker for a left hook behind his right hand and Barrera had one of the sickest left hooks ever.

Marquez vs Pacquiao 2. It basically depends how you score round 1. And its hard as ****. Marquez lands the best, Pac lands more. Toss up really.

I scored Marquez-Pacquiao 1 for Pac by a point but it was harder to score than the second fight imo.

Griffin-Toney 2 is no fun at all to score at least the first fight was good(imo).

Whitaker-DLH could've had even rounds but I thought Pea did enough to pull it but it really depends on what you go for.

Meldrick Taylor-Howard Davis is a headache to score.

Wright-Taylor was mentioned but I thought he picked off many shots and many times he was the man backing up Taylor. I thought Wright won clearly(no bias because I'm a Wright fan).

Hopkins-Taylor 2 is a fight I like but easily could've went to either man. I thought Hopkins clearly won the first one but that's just my opinion.

Scoring is pretty subjective so if it's a close fight then it's really hard to decide a winner because we all have our preferences. Me, personally, I like technicians so I would go for the better ring general and the guy that lands cleanly. Some may like pure aggression but take into account that a fair scorecard should show signs of EFFECTIVE AGGRESSION.

why has that got to be a joke? i see your from UK so you are probably going to say calzaghe clearly won right? BBC Five Live commentary scored the fight for Hopkins. i thought it was a very close fight. i thought joe was closer to his best than hopkins was. hopkins was landing cleaner, harder blows but was spoiling the fight a lot. hopkins didn't throw enough combinations. the compubox numbers on that fight show how much a fail compubox is. there is no way joe landed as many punches as they said.

I agree with this. On my card, if I gave Pac the first round like Lederman did, he wins the fight. However, I honestly couldn't pick a winner in that round, it had to be a 10-10, so my card ended in a 114-114.

That's interesting. I'll need to re-watch, haven't seen it since it happened but I remember thinking Cotto won close but clear.

  10. I dont get this, if the round is even and one guy scores three knock downs that means he wins the round right? I scored it 10-6

Marquez v Pacquiao II - I've scored it numerous times, and each and every time I have arrived at a different verdict than the last.

Castillo v Mayweather I - Very similar to the above, scored it numerous times with a different verdict almost every time.
