Herbie Hide is one of my all-time favorites. Incredible punching power (he even KO'd guys inside 3 rounds who had never been down), very fast, awkward style, glass chin and looked always afraid even against the opponents he KO'd in 1 or 2 rounds. :happy Bowe even said afterwards he had trouble with Hide's punchingpower in that onesided win. Indeed he's shot now... but that doesn't mean he can't pick up a cruiser belt in the future, if that cut ever heals properly.
I would love to see Hide V Harrison at heavy as according to his autobiography they arnt the best of friends.
Don't have a pic, but it was BAD. I'm sure if it wasn't a 3 rounder, and it wasn't favorite Hide it would certainly have been stopped. This content is protected
He is the only fighter I have seen KOed by the wind of someones punches. He is your typical British Glass Jawed joke.
Big fan of Hide, his autobiography was a good read. Last I saw of him though was on Setanta (!), fighting some Polish nobody. Hide's power seemed to have completely evaporated, maybe a little/partly/majorly/entirely because his timing was absolutely atrocious. I'd like to see him get some big fights again if he still has some left in the tank.
His power looks to have gone and he has seen better days. I hope he get's his shot, but even if he does, he cannot have that great a chance of winning. The longer the wait the harder it becomes. He's had terrible bad luck to be honest. :verysad
Lets give him his last ride and see. Its not unheard of for an aging warhorse to conjure up the old stuff for one last apocalyptic swan song.
