Calling him the new Michael Grant is disrespectful to Grant himself.

I actually want him to do well, but I don't see it.
It would be good for the division to have an American puncher opposed to the (Eatern) European stronghold on the division.
He has got a couple of things going for him like enormous reach, big power and athleticism, but we all know about the chin issue and him being particularly crude when it comes to technical ability.
We all know guys like that can actually make it all the way, despite their shortcomings, but most aren't able to become the next Primo Carnera.
The reports from the Wlad camp and the footage of the Haye one should prepare us for him pulling another Grant like suggested.
I would be surprised if he even gets past Stiverne.

Of course I can be wrong and we might get a big fight in the near future between him and Wlad, but even if he does the unthinkable I am certain he won't be a long ruling champ because of his very exploitable weaknesses.

Grant was a better boxer than Wilder ....... I can't see him beating many of the top 20 ranked boxers.

Yes he polarizes fans hell I torn with hi myself. I'd take great enjoyment in seeing him exposed as he has been heavily protected, been calling out people only to then run for the hills, from a technical standpoint is still riddled with flaws and his last fight was a complete farce.

But he has speed and power you rarely come across at heavy and should he somehow prove his doubters wrong I would no doubt be happy to see someone as a threat to Wlad. I was very impressed by his win over Liakhovich that was a scary KO and he looked like he was starting to step up. He then fought Firtha and was stumbling from a jab and cowering on the ropes before his power told. Then the Scott fight which only added to the idea he's being protected.

Steverne puts him to sleep early on and I cant wait. I hate Wilder's attitude - he behaves like he is the best in boxing and he has shown no skill, no chin no nothing.

Wilder is anything but ackward, ackward is when an opponent has an almost unique style that makes them hard to hit and difficult to fight.

your confusing ackward with a complete lack of skill and proper technique which makes the way he fights look ackward but its not the good kind of ackward some fighters have

To be accurate, he could be even worse than Michael Grant.

Did someone hack your account Farmboxer? This is not your usual sort of post.

Where are the excessive ellipses? Where is the story about Wlad knocking Wilder down in sparring with a jab?

I like Wilder and can say I'm a fan and I'd like to see him be the real deal

The Stiverne fight intrigues me, its for a sideshow title so I almost dont care that hes ranked for nothing because there is some firepower in that fight and we will finally see him in with a real fighter

on the flip side, Grant got off the deck twice survived and came from behind to make Golota quit. Wilder has never been near a fighter that good or faced half that adversity

Grant beat about 4 other name recognizable fighters and earned his title fight

I suppose his power is real. He looks really rough form a technical view however. I don't think he can beat a top 15 boxer who refuses to dive for a few bucks.
