Whats the deal with Gamboa?

why don't he fight at 130 first? get a title then move up to 135.

for a fighter with his ability he's being moved ridiculously slow these days. top rank need to get moving with this phenom

 

I thought that's what he was doing. Steward doesn't like the idea of the Rios fight and would like to get a couple of fights at 130 for Gamboa first which is the most sensible idea. Rios fighting in Jan after a fight in Dec and Gamboa moving up 2 weight divisions to fight him doesn't make any sense for either fighter.

 

Last word was that Gamboa was going to fight Rios but who knows if that will ever happen. I think that Gamboa should go after Broner now that he won the WBO belt and looked good.

Gamboa is a beast. He is the best of the best of the Cuban fighters, he stops Broner and Rios too.

 

Gamboa started his career at 130 lbs, I don't c any problem moving to 135 and Arum is not the sole promoter, that is why he takes his time with Gamboa, he have to pay the Turk, Gamboa vs. Rios= Gamboa UD all the way...
