he can stick to a gameplan better, he packs a bigger punch, he always keeps his composure, and he picks his shots better.
"I will probably return to the ring in October, in Japan which is like my second home. Then I would like to unify with Humberto Soto," - Jorge Linares, June 27th 2009
last year, weren't they penciled in but he backed out for some reason..... "I'm sorry to my fans, but i just can't fight someone like Soto right now, it is way too soon and hopefully in a year i can fight Josephat Perez first" - Jorge Linares, June 1st 2008
What gameplan????????? who needs a gameplan to beat the scrubs hes been fighting,he might have a bigger punch but that remains to be seen,Guzman is much faster, better defense, better chin, better footwork, better variety of punches and he has proved that against much better comp than Linares. hes on another level compared to Linares.
BULL CHETTTT !!!! he was soto on a rampage and decided he aint ready....let him keep fighting in japan, that dude that ko'd johnny gonzalez will come after his ass :bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb:bbb
I've seen most of his fights at this point, and the kid is good. Good at basically everything. He likes to alternate exchanging a bit too much for my taste at this point - he resets generically. I'd like to see more of a consistent flow in his fighting, more movement at the waist - and he doesn't have the hugest punch in the world, but he's accurate like a motherfoka. Amazing counterpuncher. Mongoose reflexes. He's also been down once pretty hard on a blind uppercut against a nobody that I've seen, but handled it smooth. And that last southpaw he fought was nailing him with the straight left too easy at times... Linares is by far one of the better athletes we've had in this sport, he's going to sell a ****load of tickets if they can get his **** off the ground.
People can only listen, when you keep winning, There's no ignoring Linares's impresive undefeated record, he has fought Oscar Larios and Gamaliel Diaz and knocked both out cold. Its just a matter of time before he gets his chance at the big time.
