The dude hasn't fought since early last year. What gives? Hes got talent running through his fists and hes gone completely inactive
I've been wondering the exact same thing. Something I think he needs to consider, if he plans on becoming a World Champion, is switching trainers. I think he'd be better served to pick up Freddy Roach and maybe keep his father on as an adviser or assistant. Of course he's at a point where he needs to step it up and fight some name opponents. I'd like to see Porter vs. Berto, Porter vs. Maidana, Porter vs. Paulie M. or Porter vs. Ortiz I'd favor him against Maidana. Berto & Ortiz could go either way. Paulie could be interesting, assuming Paulie has the chin to hang in there.
Im rooting for the guy (Cleveland fighter) but he doesn't have it, he's too small and doesn't have the power to make up for his disadvantage in size.
Didn't read your post...most;y cause I'm drunk. Bahahahhaaaa....but just wanted to say really great avatar my friend:good
"After 14-month layoff (promotional issues), 147 prospect Shawn Porter returns vs Dashon Johnon in 8-rder April 28 on Hopkins-Dawson II card." Fat Dan.
