Whats the difference between a champ and a belt holder?

    Why are some boxing champs considered as belt holders or do they need to have a certain number of belts or title defences to call themselves champ?

    Champions beat the other belt holders. They prove themselves, and actively try to fight the best. They earn their title. They don't just grab one at any opportunity.
