after watching saterdays fight with jmm and pac it made me wonder how does mayweather pitch shut outs on scorecards but jmm lost the fight.mayweather is a counter puncher that throughs just enough punchs to win the round and is very often outworked by opponents who are clearly the aggresser but floyd wins almost every round of every fight.why is this?floyds fights with castillo were very much like manny vs jmm 3 yet the scorcards were all in heavy favor of floyd.marquez landed the cleaner harder punchs and was the better defensive fighter yet the judges scored more in favor of the AGGRESSER.
I seems to me that the judges just score in favor of the bigger name,if that fight last weekend would have been between floyd and some other fighter with floyd fighting like marquez and the opponent fighting like manny mayweather would have won by a land slide.someone please explain this to me,and lets keep the "floyds just the ****" comments to a minumum please.

If Marquez had fought that fight against anybody but Pac he would have gotten a W. I thought this is what everybody knew.

And Floyd doesn't fight the same as Marquez, just as Gamboa doesn't fight the same as Pac.

He didn't pitch a shut out against castillio. You start off saying that mayweather pitches shut outs.

Everyone knows that the mayweather/castillo was probably "too wide".

    I had May winning by 2 rounds..7/5.

It would have been 3 rounds, but the ref took a point away from Mayweather, which was bullsh!t.He only did it because he took a point away from castillo.

Either way mayweather won,and in the rematch it was properly a wide decision, however, the fights were pretty much carbon copies of each other, except,in the rematch Floyd used his right hand a lot more....proof that in the first fight he really had messed up rotator cup.

Either way though. The Judges seem to understand the bigger stars game and seem willing to see fights through the perspective of did the "champ" execute his gameplan. And if Marquez is the bigger star he wins part3,but paquiao was the biggeer star,so he won part3.They both executed their gameplan.

However,we all know Marquez executed better and made Pacq look like ****.

Floyd is far more athletic, flashier and rarely gets hit clean, the rounds he wins are more clear as well, as he lands eye-catching hard rights and counters, seriously man, he usually dominates. Case in point the Ortiz fight, he wasn't just winning he was dominating.

As for the the fighter with the bigger name getting the dec, you are very right in that regard, JCC Jr's fight with Zbik was one of the most disgusting events I've ever had the displeasure of watching, now that was a real robbery.

Maywether is bigger, faster, stronger and just better than Marquez.
If Marquez at worst can be right in the mix with Pacquiao, than Mayweather is at worst better than Pacquiao.

One difference is that when faced with oncoming offense, Marquez stands his ground and counters you, and is very good at fighting back. Floyd, on the other hand, will let you throw at him while he slips most of the punches, occasionally throwing a counter or two back, then he gets of of the way and positions himself where he can pot shot and pick you apart.
If you come at Marquez with a lot of offense your going to get a lot back. If you come at Floyd with a lot of offense he's going to cover up, then get out of the way.
One of the many reasons why Pacquiaos performance against Marquez is really not that indicative of how he would do against Mayweather.

I think it depends on the opponent, but you're right some. Floyd does do that a lot, but he stands his ground a lot also and will meet you up close
