Neither should move up. No one ever should unless they choose too.

    A duck is a duck.

    Unless it's a goose. But that's different.

Golovkin is a banger. Rungundeaux is a runner! Big difference

Some of the difference is Donaire gave Rigondeaux his big shot after Rigondeaux clamored for it. Rigondeaux stepped up to Donaire and beat him decisive. Rigondeaux became the king of 122.

It isn't that fighters at 122 aren't giving Rigondeaux his shot. It isn't on Rigondeaux to clamor for it, although he is, and step up to those fighters.

It's that fighters at 122 aren't trying to step up to Rigondeaux and try to beat him to become king of 122. That is on them.

As for Golovkin... well, he hasn't yet stepped up to his Donaire, so to speak, for whatever reasons. With his great promotional and network support for several years now he has managed to be successful without doing so. But there may be more difference to them then many think.

A duck is a duck. Ultimately, there is no difference. Although, the 155 stipulation adds a layer of difference.

Rigo being ducked does get mentioned here, however, the reason GGG gets mentioned is twofold; 1) lower weights tend to have less fans. 2) GGG's fans and detracters love baiting each other.

Willie, if you want to know the answer to your own question then just ask yourself why you made another thread about GGG.

The people duckin rigo are frightened of gettin schooled and embarrassed for little money

The people duckin GGG are frightened of gettin their head tuck off and embarrassed by been brutally Ko'd for average to decent money

    Main difference

Not much. Rigo should be more active and a name against GGG might pay more, but in the end duckers are duckers.
    GGG is ducked
    Rigo is ducked

Don't forget about the **** Caribe pulled when Hyde was making deals that Caribe destroyed. A fight with Wake last year was agreed until Caribe turned it down (after everything was agreed), the difficulty Rigondeaux had with Caribe also turned Frank ****** off him once (whilst Caribe then messed ****** about a second time).

It's all well and good saying the division is ducking the guy but the reality is that he and his team have ****ed about too many people. They could have done a lot more to be proactive and get big fights, they could have chased the Japanese yen following the HUGE success of the Amagasa fight (reportedly more than 10 million viewers tuned in for that). Instead he sat on the self, sulking with Caribe doing ****** all for him and Hyde being given the run around.

Theres something that seems oddly specific to Cuban fighters.

Their careers tend to be either horribly run or they themselves have no concept of how the business of boxing works.

Maybe that's from growing up in communism and having no idea how market prices work...I don't know.

Both Gamboa and Rigo are incredibly inactive but theyre not the only ones.

Luis Garcia should have been one of the top LHWs in the world by now but he never fights.
Richard Abril was one of the top LWs, but he took barely ever fights.

Mike Perez may have been stopped in a round by Povetkin but hes still a solid contender, but he took has had a career beset my massive inactivity

No difference. Rigo and GGG are the champ and the rest are cowards.
