Wilder hasn't come close to fighting the level of competition Golovkin has. Not that Golovkin's is that great - it's that Wilder's "competition" has been that abysmally bad.

I've followed boxing for 35 years, and I can't remember a top rated fighter who has fought worse competition for as long as Wilder has.

Top 10 Curtis Stevens and Top 5s Daniel Geale and Mathew Macklin are not tomato cans. Golovkin isn't the second coming of Christ but he has set himself apart from the rest of his division.

    Wilder has not.

Because everyone GGG has fought are decent competition who are in or near the top 10 of the division.

Whereas Wilder is fighting partially retired garbagemen collecting a paycheck.

GGG fought a number of top 15 opponents. I can't remember a single name in Wilder's resume.

What a silly thread... GGG has beaten several formidable fighters, and is clearly the top dog at 160. Not his fault the cowards like Quillin, and Sperm(before he lose to Soliman) have been running scared. Soliman appears to have balls and will face GGG next.

Wilder on the other hand has beaten nothing but stiffs, complete joke of a record. As Zak said, you'd be hard pressed to find a supposed top fighter who's faced worse competition than Wilder.

Also not to mention on top of what everybody else has- Golovkin is willing to fight the best fighters in his division. Wilder is not even willing to fight the C-Level fighters

Wilder has been fighting TOMATO CAN heavyweights, Golovkin has been fighting TOMATO CAN 154lb'ers...

If Wilder hade a resume of Mansour, Charr, Pianeta, Wach, Solis and Boytsov. Then he would have comparable resume with GGG.

One guy fights top 10, top 5 opposition that he makes look like bums.

The other guy fights actual bums. That's the difference.

You're crazy. Golovkin's alleged tomato cans are ranked fighters. (ex) Belt holders. Top 10 fighters.

Wilder has been spoon-fed guys who are outside of the top 100 HW rankings, preferably > 40 years old. They carefully avoid anyone with a pulse.

I always criticize Golovkin's resume relative to his hype, but in a scenario like this I must take the opposite approach. Golovkin's resume >>>>>>>>>> Wilder's.
