What's the earliest fight you can remember in which both fighters wore pink gloves?

    I'm looking at Adrian Broner-Antonio DeMarco here and they're both wearing pink gloves. That was 2012 and was for breast-cancer awareness.

    Certainly this was unthinkable in the 80s; anyone remember an earlier one than this?

    I think JuanMa Lopez vs Concepcion featured two guys with pink gloves.

    Edit: Yeah, they were both wearing pink gloves for breast cancer awareness, too.

    Wearing matching coloured gloves seems to be a rarer and rarer thing now.

    I miss the fights where they used to wear those cherry red gloves in the 80s with masses of white tape round them. What happened to those gloves?

    The version i have of the Leon Spinks vs Bernardo Mercado fight it looks like they are wearing dark pink gloves but then again might be due to the quality of the image.

    Edit : just saw pics of it and the gloves were red . False alarm.
