    If it is routinely used by people who know nothing about boxing, who are not even aware that it is a boxing quote, then that is not a bad call.

    "He was doing great until he went against the ropes and opened his grave" - Alexis Arguello, In the aftermath of his comeback victory over Billy Costello. Arguello was a shambles and Costello was boxing him silly then, as the man said, Costello had is back against the ropes and Arguello lands a trademark straight right, perhaps his only solid punch of the fight, and that was it.
