Toney is done sadly, no surprise though when you look at his career. He was in many wars against top opponents, he didn't pick and choose his way through a load of chumps like Mayweather or Hopkins did, as examples.
:rofl.... This is priceless, MAY WE go through the names of fighters TOney fought and sometimes struggled with that Mayweather and Hopkins wouldnt be caught DEAD fighting? :rofl GOVONER CHAVERS RICKY THOMAS LARRY PRATHER DAVE TIBERI VINSON DURHAM DRAKE THADZI TERRY MCGROOM DANNY BATCHELDER
In all fairness he was ducked by Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Gerald Mccllean, Jullian Jackson none of these guys wanted anything to do with him in the 90's despite big money offers & very public challenges you might not like his mouth or his act BUT if you can't set that aside and admire the mans skill then you must have never REALLY watched him fight
he has INCREDIBLE skills, but I think he is overrated based on longevity, and his long career is never analyzed.
Toney is shot. He showed that in the fight against Peter and Batchelder. This inactiveness isn't good. He also showed signs of decline even before, in the fights against Rahman and the first fight against Peter. He was very different -and much better- against Holyfield, Guinn and Ruiz.
TONEY HAS RETIRED!!! He has recently signed up to act in the next Star Wars movie as the son of Jabba the Hut.
Yes and a steriod junkie to boot, he looks and sounds very unhealthy and the way he eats, smokes cigars, and juices up, he's a poster child for Heart Disease...
Well, seems as if Roach is fed up training him, so he'll continue with another trainer after his suspension. I guess he'll be back in the ring early next year.
