what's the latest with the 3 mexican greats morales, barrera and juan manuel Marquez?

barrera fighting tomorrow against de jesus, morales was lined up for escobedo but escos fightin someone else so maybe casamayour or maybe even hatton if he coming back and marquez is fightin diaz

Marco Antonio Barrera looked in pretty good shape in all of the training photographs I've seen ahead of this fight...but that was also the case ahead of his fight with Amir Khan.

Barrera got robbed against Khan in a fight that clearly should've been ruled a no contest. Instead they waited for it to pass the 4th and then stopped it to make sure Khan would get the win and Barrera would have no chance of taking advantage of Khan's dubious defense and chin.

That was a daylight robbery. Anyone who saw it knows it.

 

I was there PHILLA and I concur. Disgusting, I have nothing positive to say about British officials.

 

I can't see Barrera going any higher than lightweight so there won't be Barrera v Morales 4.

 

I agree it should have been ruled a NC due to the cut but I think Khan still had too much for Barrera at this stage in his career. barrera looked a little dwarfed by khan who was looking way to fast for Barrera to catch him. I suppose anyone has a chance with Khan due to his chin but i think khan would have kept his distance and used his speed to pepper him in pucnches forcing a late stoppage

 

if barrera wins this fight, he has a chance to fight Humberto Soto and possibly win his fourth world title at 135.

 

i stll favor him over Soto

 

It would be an interesting fight. soto is slowing down now and well past his best days. A Prime MAB V Prime Soto would be easy to predict but and ageing MAB v ageing Soto would be a fairly close fight. Id favour Soto but would not rule out MAB

 

its a shame no one in the 115-118 divisions wud fight him for a title and a shame jesus chavez dislocated his shoulder before there fight at lightweight he could be retired right now a 6 weight world champ

 

I would actually wouldn't mind seeing that happening.

 

barrera weighs in at 141 pounds and looks good! i cant believe that at the weigh in of the khan fight he looked chubby at 135 it looks like hes trained properly this time
