What's the most confusing end to a fight you've seen

I don't know how an ending could be more confusing than Ali-Liston II.
It was ruled a KO. It wasn't KO-Liston wasn't counted out. There was no count.
Did Liston go down by a legitimate punch? Controversy again.

These may not be the most confusing, but they were the result of poor officiating or timekeeping.

In the Sergei Liakhovich-Shannon Briggs fight, Briggs knocked Liakhovich down with 28 seconds to go in the fight. At 26 seconds, the clock on the lower part of the television screen froze (apparently the ringside timekeeper stopped his clock, too). Liakhovich got up, took an eight count and as the referee waived Briggs in, the clock on the corner of the screen began running again - showing 25 seconds left - when there was only 10 seconds left (if you'd been counting while he was down). By that point, the timekeeper should've banged the canvas or let them know there was ten seconds left. He didn't.

Briggs ambled in and started hitting Liakhovich. Liakhovich took a few shots and started sinking to the ropes. Counting on your own, it seems like the fight should've ended there. Briggs hit him again and Sergei fell out of the ring. While he was laying on the timekeeper's table. At that point, the timekeeper rings the bell, well after the round should've ended.

Sergei tried to get up, but they waived it off without letting him attempt to get back in (as if the fight was over - and he'd been saved by the bell). Then they announced Briggs was the winner and new champ by TKO at 2:59 in the round -- but the round lasted much longer than that - because the timekeeper stopped the clock the entire time Liakhovich was down and while the ref gave him an eight count and then asked if he was okay.

Briggs may have dropped him with a second to go. Or the bell may have rung before he actually fell out of the ring. Still, the timekeeper messed up everything because he lost track of the count at the end.

Of course, Bute-Andrade 1. Andrade floored Bute with about six seconds to go in the bout. The referee delays picking up the count to yell at Andrade, who went to the farthest corner and not the neutral corner - but the ref wasn't yelling at him for that, he was yelling at him to get back in the corner he was in, although he was nowhere near the boxer who was down. Bute struggled up at eight or nine (if you were counting at home), but collapsed on the ropes to hold himself up. The referee waived the fighters to continue. And again, a good 10 or 15 seconds after the fight should've ended, the bell finally rung.

I think Bute beat the count (if you count the ropes holding you up as beating the count - he couldn't stand on his own) and Briggs probably dropped him right at the bell, but it was confusing.

To me, it seems like Briggs finished him off just in time. I'm not sure what the deal was with the HBO clock and if that corresponded to the real time. It's possible that the timekeeper stopped the clock during the first knockdown because Liakovich got tangled in the ropes and could have been considered outside the ring. I also didn't hear the ten second smack but those can be drowned out when the audience is on their feet. The 2:59 ruling probably means Liakovich was stopped after 3:00 but not saved by the bell.

Not so much confusing, but I thought the Earnie Shavers vs Roy Williams bout was a bit of a strange 10 rounder. Any older hands on here remember it?
