This one. Remember how that sounded live? a shotgun would have been less noisy

Also remember this was the sunday punch of one of the hardest punchers in history and uppercut specialist, who also had lots of time to build unusual momentum with it, landing clean on the chin with explosive force

And the most impressive thing is, the punched guy didn't went down

a case of ATG chin surviving ATG punch

Great shot, but Lennox is backing up and Vitali's chin is too high in the air for him to get full power. Very good shot, but no way is it the most powerful punch ever landed.

Why do people continue to post KD punches like Holmes vs Shavers and punches that didn't even knock their opponent down, like Lewis vs Klitschko? How do they even qualify? A truly devastating punch knocks an opponent out. That's the least it should do. It doesn't matter if it "sounded like a shotgun going off" or "looked like it would have knocked out an elephant," etc, if the opponent got up and went on to win the fight then it doesn't belong anywhere on the list.

I must have watched that fight at least a dozen times, and I still can't pinpoint precisely where Foreman actually accomplishes this. There's the uppercut near the end of the first, where he may lift Frazier slightly, but it's really difficult to tell. One of his feet seems to leave the canvas, but not both it seems. Then there's the little delayed reaction hop to one knee that Frazier does near the end of the second. But they can't be talking about that surely?

The right uppercut that caused the second knockdown in the Foreman-Frazier fight was the most devastating. Surprised that it never seems to get much mention. After that punch, the fight was basically over and the other knockdowns were window dressing.

It is amazing that Frazier kept getting up. What a true champion!

I would like to nominate the gazelle left hook that Patterson landed on Ingo in their second fight.

Now that was a knockout. The left foot twitching is scary.

Lee Ramage's nephew said that punch almost killed him as it hit him in the adam's apple and caused him to nearly suffocate.

best punch...and to my eyes hardest looking...was shavers landing on holmes.
but...holmes got up..and if i live to be a hundred, i'll never know how he got up.

it was the man who was declared as being the hardest heavyweight puncher, hitting holmes with the perfect punch, all his body weight behind it, punching flush through the target and exactly on the target, and with holmes weight coming towards the punch....if he tried a hundred times he couldnt have landed the punch any better or harder.

    yet, holmes got up......beats me.

at the start of this video...

Bang on. Great, great punch but there are mitigating factors.

That's exhibit A why I think Shavers is an overrated puncher. A flush punch from the "hardest puncher ever" should have knocked Holmes completely unconscious, or at the very least left him so groggy that he would have been in no condition to defend himself.

It may be the best landed punch of Shavers's career, but it's certainly not the hardest punch I've ever seen landed on an opponent in a boxing ring.

Cooney's punch on Norton sitting on the ropes. Wasn't necessary!
