That isn't the only one. PW put on 18lbs against Carlos. Joan Guzman put on 17lbs, Hatton always puts on about 15lbs. DLH used to put on about 15lbs for all of his fights.

Can anyone explain to me how that works and what exactly these men do to dry out that much and then rehydrate so much? When I boxed at 147 I entered the ring at 150 - 152 lbs at the most. When I was at 154 I would enter at no more then 157 - 159 lbs. None of the guys I fought and trained with ever rehydrated more then 10 or maybe 12pounds for fights. I would still like to know how they do this and what it is they do to cut so much weight and then gain it all back by fight night.

They just go that extra mile as far as burning it. They strve themselves for a while, and after they weigh in, they drink and eat alot.

Yeah PW for the Quintana fight put on a **** load of weight. I think you are wrong on the DLH ones. I read that for most of his fights at junior middle he would go up around 6-8 only.

Joan Guzman showing up at 148 lbs against Soto in their 130 lbs fight.

Daniel Santos showing up at 170+ for any of his fights at 154lbs.

Mayorga at 172lbs against Oscar at 154lbs.

You heard wrong. DLH was putting on so much weight, after a while, he refused to let HBO weigh him on fight night. Now tell me, what reason would a man find shame in letting HBO weigh him on the night of the fight, even though he let them weigh him the day before?

Thats a long f*cking mile then. I dont think I would even want to do it to that extreme but I guess with today's techniques it works, makes me wonder if I could do that much of a weight shift today in the pros maybe I'll give it a shot.

For a couple of fights I bulked up quite a lot post weigh in. Sweat suits, lots of albolene and carb loading worked for me. I did **** it up once, and despite packing on 8lbs in a day, I had no energy whatsoever on fight night and got my ass handed to me in the firsrt round. I can't be entirely sure how I got it so wrong, but I suspect that I left the weight loss I needed too late, and as I consequence, I couldn't taper my training down in the last week running up towards fight night. I ended up having to train like man posessed in the week running up to the fight; I effectively left everything in the gym.

I'm sure Toney puts on 20 pounds every day, but I wouldn't call it rehydration! :D

Cotto was a massive 'rehydrator' at 140. Abraham, Pavlik has to put on at lest 10 pounds between Friday and Saturday. The guys you mentioned are good examples. Pacquiao used to badly outweight opponents. Haye in the Maccarinelli fight deserves a shout, I think he put on like 15 ponds. Hopkins looked 190 in the Calzaghe fight, put on a lot in MW fights as well.
