The Ruddock that went 12 with Tyson, could he do that against a near enough prime Sonny?

He probably gets stopped but he definitely has a better chance than the majority of Listons victims, strong, powerful, lots of heart and went to war

Yes he definitely showed that in both fights with Tyson.
He took shots in there that had other guys doing the Fandango.

That fight was the only loss of Ruddocks career he went the distance. Machen has a much better survival trackrecord.

With Tyson if a fighter goes 6 rounds they'll usually go 12. Ruddock in the 1st fight is one of the only fighters Tyson stopped in the 2nd half of the fight.

Ruddocks not a glass cannon but hes not your guy for surviving wars he loses.

He was ruined by Tyson… Liston basically did nothing better then MT yes Ruddock makes it to the end and can improve on Williams, it’d be a good fight.

Tyrelk Biggs was stopped in the 7th round but it is probably true that Tyson could have got it done sooner but opted to 'punish' Biggs instead.

Jose Ribalta was stopped in the 10th but it is possible he could have been allowed to go the distance.

It would be an interesting fight imo.
Razor could bang, I think he'd shake Liston but he isn't beating him.

I think they are pretty long.

Very difficult for Razor's defense to deal with that strong jab and great left hook off the jab for 36 minutes. And his balance is bad so envision him doing his stumbling thing > getting tagged and having the ref step in.

Basically, Liston could box a bit, Razor couldn’t as he progressed… he was tough, he punched hard he’d be a lot bigger and stronger but it doesn’t account for too much in this bout. It’d be good to watch a fair challenge for Liston as a smaller old timer.

I'm sure Liston would have Ruddock losing his balance once or twice.

I think that not only does he goes the distance, but that he has a decent chance of bouncing Liston off the canvas.

If he went in survival mode, he definitely could go the distance, but the more he opens up, the more chance Liston has of stopping him. Ruddock should open up, as he needs to gamble to give himself a puncher’s chance.

I’d say the odds are around 45/55 of him going the distance generally, if he comes to survive, he could up the odds to around 70/30, if he comes to win, it’d be more like 40/60.
