Maybe someone from the press row should ask him about it. Anyways, it shows that he is mentally weak. Without a pill he cannot do his job.

Alas, this is probably the truth. Some sort of salt pill.

How Alvarez made JrMW for so long is mind boggling. He's huge. Those pills help him with the rehydration.

It'll be some sort of rehydration pill most likely, Canelo drains to the absolute maximum so probably cuts a **** load of water weight in the week or two leading up to the weigh in and his trainer will be wanting him to rehydrate as fast as possible on making weight hence him popping it straight in his mouth.

It's just another form of cheating imo tbf but it is legal so what do you do. Can't wait for the new weight regulations to come in, should sort a lot of **** out.

It's a preventative measure - to ensure he doesn't get mad cow disease. Although some would say his mother already has it.

What? Taking some electrolyte supplement? I don’t eat bro, that’s for mentally weak people who can’t do their job without it.

It is a mental thing. Once you taste an enhancing thing, you will always stick to that. You feel weaker without it. That's why he needs those pills. No one else at the weigh-in took any pills. Everyone else just rehydrated ASAP.

The more I think about this the more I think it was PR stunt.

Fighters drink Gatorade. That’s the same thing as the pill, but in liquid form. It is rehydrating, electrolytes retain fluid. If you think there’s a different mental effect between a fluid and a solid that’s the same thing then I’d love to hear more.

He didn't drink Gatorade. You could try to explain the drug abuser's behavior but it remains the same. He needs the pills.

Realistically probably a salt pill to help the water reabsorb faster in the absence of a huge carb rich meal to draw the water into the body.

I can't think of anything that would help after the weigh in instead of right before the fight. And he's still got tested before the fight by the commission, seperaten from vada.

Not saying Canelo is a Cleanfighter, plenty of dodgy stuff in his career
