Just the feeling I have. I think he was slowly losing it since after Floyd but Pac was the proof to me. OK, Pac was godlike in the ring that night, he was literally perfect and didn't allow Ricky to fight. Also, Ricky saw red again and ****ed up whatever plan he had, just as he did against Floyd and I think Floyd Snr has a lot to answer for for that fight BUT I can't help but see an ex-fighter in the ring for that fight.

I think his punch resistence has tumbled, I think his mental strength has been wrecked and I think he is too physically damaged.

Believe me, I'm the guys biggest fan and there is nothing more I would want than to be completely wrong but I have to admit it to myself.

Ricky has also been asking himself and people close to him if he is finished but to be fair, he did the same after Floyd and I don't think he was completely finished then but he was at the top of the hill.

I think Ricky is a confidence fighter, in the same way Wayne Rooney is a confidence footballer and if his confidence isn't there. If he can't legitimately think of himself as the best or unbeatable at 140, then I think he struggles to find other reasons to boost himself up. Of course we can see plenty of reasons but his view is a very narrow, tunnel vision after his losses, which he really did believe he was going to come out of victorious.

I take it you don't agree?

I hope you can get me to rethink it all.

    Cheers mate!

 No, not you mate....a certain Mr Swollocks who makes pretty much the same set of 5 or 6 anti-Hatton posts time after time and doesn't really seem interested in any other area of the sport at all.

Ahh course. Sorry mate, reread and I see what you're getting at now. Must have been having a paranoid moment!

Gaz, you said earlier that you have Flint on ignore. I had a few demmiks on ignore a few years back (I remember Scurla was one) but recently I haven't been able to find the ignore option and I so desperately need to get Swollocks off my screen!!

Help a desperate brother out, our kid!;)

Good to see your still here a'postin!

    Cheers mate

EDIT: By the way, my ban was a betting ban with Bladerunner. It started off as an avatar ban but BR obviously wanted to see the back of me. Pac sprawled Ricky across the canvass and that was me finished with the board for what should have been a month. To be honest though, I was glad to have the excuse of not being allowed on here. This forum is the very last place I wanted to be after that result!

Maybe he fight on because he doesnt wanna go out on a KO loss. Beating Amir Khan for a world title in Wembley Stadium or somewhere similar would be a great way to go out.

Firstly,is seeing red a legitimate excuse?
Really, what was so different from Hatton in the Pac fight and the one that fought all his previous opponents?People might answer that his punch resistance wasn't was it used to be but does added punch resistance along with whatever else Hatton has beat Pacquaio?Pacquaio landed at a sickening %,I think it was in the 70s.No matter how good a chin you have, you can't take that number of punches

As for Floyd Sr,he gave Ricky a plan but Hatton wasn't the transformed fighter people had believed him to be.You can't make such changes overnight at any stage of a fighters career, let alone that late in the day. What we saw was Hatton doing what he had done throughout his whole career, all the technical deficiencies were there for all to see.Perhaps he wasn't interested in what Floyd had to say and he thought he could overwhelm Pacquaio and that he'd be too strong for him-causing a rift in camp?Who knows though,I'm just speculating

Which ever you slice it,any version of Hatton would be beaten by that version of Pacquiao regardless of the bull**** excuses we get from Ray Hatton:tired. No shame

Right now Hatton does not beat any viable contender in any fight, his confidence is shot to shite and his game plan has been exposed.

He is another loss waiting to happen, and therefore he should retire, because from now on he can only lose to lesser fighters for lesser money and suffer more damage to his already weakening punch resistance.

Doubtless! Pac really is up there with the all time greats!

I haven't heard any excuses from Ray and I don't really want to, we all know now* that Pac was at a level unattainable to Ricky but Ray is a father before all else and he will always see Ricky with dad glasses on. You all know Ray as a business man but he is honestly one of the good guys in real life. A real decent feller.

*I say "now" because myself and many others really did believe that Ricky would be too strong and big for Pac and just swarm him. How wrong we were!

EDIT: Destruction. I agree with you, sadly.

Good point about seeing things from a Dads POV but it comes over disrespectful eg.when he told The Sun(I think it was The Sun)that it wasn't the Hatton we all knew and loved vs Pacquiao.I'm afraid to say that it was.It isn't the first time either unfortunately. That's all

There are basically a few idiots on this forum who have some kind of mental medical disorder (not sure exactly what the technical term is) which leads them to irrationally hate on a figure of public popularity. This leads to all sorts of lies being told in an attempt to do down that person, people trying to argue black is white in terms of matters of opinion. They think that if they repeat "the moon is made of cheese" enough times people will start to believe it. And not just the fighter himself but they will even resor to having cheap digs at anybody connected to him in a bid to score cheap points. The whole thing is beyond pathetic and is just really a small number of juvenile inadequates (I mean you Betty Swollocks) who may have been abused as kids.

 I don't remember if you were involved, but there were plenty championing Hatton on his performance against Paulie....saying how great at 140 Hatton is....that was a good while after the PBF fight and not long before the Pac fight. Something doesn't add up here.
Let me explain it for you. All this talk about Hatton being shot and having 'lost it' is a load of ****ing bollocks. He got found out when up against the level of fighter he laughably considered himself to be on a par with......it's as simple as that. Almost anyone can look formidable up against handpicked journeymen and shot old men.
