Whtye's always been around that weight for the majority of his career. He's never been particularly lean and even if he did come in a svelte 230lbs or less it wouldn't of altered the fact he's always had terrible footwork and movement. He never has the ability to get inside. But I agree that this idea for smaller heavies coming in heavy to offset the difference in size and strength is dumb. Fact is whatever weight Whyte came in at he would always be the smaller man and always be manhandled.
Whyte has strong legs but cement feet and no side-stepping ability. The upperbody excess weight means he would struggle to bend at the waist effectively too. Overall, excessive weight hinders your movement and against a huge guy like Fury you are a sitting duck because he can pepper you from the outside, bring his power in whenever he wants or constantly reset you all night. Whyte really needs to look at himself, remove his ego from it, and do a total reset if he want to legitimately be champion. If he had better feet and less weight he could have emulated a Sonny Liston sort of style and reached more of his potential. The plodder approach shows a lack of ideas and resistance to change in my opinion.
Whyte is ‘naturally’ a very large man. The ‘natural’ or ‘in shape’ weight difference between Fury and Whyte is probably around about the 10lbs we saw tonight. Pretty obvious that Fury even at 264 is carrying a lot of excess too.
Whyte got a nice payday but was never going to be a real challenge for Fury. He was a mere two fights from the Povetkin chinning.
These fat shits can't last 3 rounds, and people say Marciano wouldn't walk them down and knock them out. Pro boxers should not be carrying excess fat.
