I suppose you could argue he was a part of the Klitschko era, yeah.

AJ is very hard to counter specifically with the jab, Parker`s jab was far quicker than Bruno or Mercer`s yet both fighters landed tons of jabs on Lennox, also Briggs wouldn`t have landed anything on AJ yet gave Lewis hell. Parker would have beaten Bruno in much better fashion than Lewis did pre Manny Steward.

Yes, AJ has won me round with recent performances. I absolutely feel justified labelling him a SHW in the vein of Wlad, Lennox et al (though resume-wise he still has a long way to go, obviously).

Tough one, actually. And those are two exceptional fighters we're talking about. I think the best career arc for them would be to establish themselves at CW and then tackle HW from there.

But I feel pretty certain that Usyk, Briedis and co have been well served having a CW division to establish themselves in, even though some of them might have a measure of success at HW further on.

I feel Usyk size wise is more suited for the heavyweight division than a 208 pound Holy was but will probably struggle more than Tyson did because he has nowhere near the power Tyson had, if Tyson caught any of the super heavyweights of today they would be spared out cold, I don`t care what size they are.

I'd agree with that. Amir Mansour is kinda like a poor man's (old man's) Tyson, and still has success against bigger fighters with his power.

Norris wasn`t any good as a heavy but there has never been a cruiser that could punch with power of Tua.

No loss in performance, but Haye was knocked out at cruiser anyway.

Out there? Where? Why is it obvious fighters want to rehydrate 15-24 pounds as you said?

Cheat the scales? WTF are you talking about? Scales are calibrated for measurements above them.

So you don´t have a evidence for CWs fighting @215-224 HW-weights on fight-night?

Yes, Tyson would always have that power as a leveler. But, ****, he would be giving up a ridiculous amount of height and reach to Wilder and Fury. He was a great finisher, but the guys he finished off had 4-6 inches on him at, 7 at the most, not 9-11.

Do you really see Tyson having problems with Wilder?

I see every fighter that has ever lived potentially having problems with Wilder. He is a limited fighter, but he has that power and reach, which means that almost every fighter is in danger of getting caught with something heavy as they come in. And Tyson would have a long way in.

Of Wilder, Fury and Joshua - I do think Tyson would find Wilder the easiest opponent, though. That's my guess at least. But he still would have a huge reach and height disadvantage to negotiate against someone that hits as hard as just about anyone that's ever put them on.

This is no discussion about power.

Its about Tyson for example vs. Ribala @213lb is the same size as a CW today. Or a George Foreman vs. Frazier @217lb. Even Lennox Lewis fought @221 when he was young.

By theory, all these fighters could have shred down to 199 --> They are equal.
They could not afford such a weightloss --> They are not equal to CWs

Another optical thing stands out: Some fighters simply do not look shredded. They look more like carrying alot of water via use of creatine, which of course makes weight fluctuation much easier.
