Floyd robbed? Floyd is always the criminal not the victim unless it's scripted. :D

Dela Hoya got the better deal in the Floyd fight. I doubt that he gave Floyd the rematch clause. It should be enjoyed by the more popular boxer. Dela Hoya was the draw and the champ at that time.

Because rematch clauses are normal against well matched foes?

Barrera has a rematch clause in the 1st Pacquiao fight. He was a heavy 4 to 1 favorite in that fight. Unfortunately Barrera didn't pursue an immediate rematch after Pacquiao mauled him for 11 rounds.

    So the answer is no.

Smart business. Guarantee's another big time payday even with a loss. Very logical.

    This.

Or maybe the simple fact that if he loses, he wants to fight him again and win.

it is not a standard practice in boxing for the challenger to get a rematch clause written into the contract.

this is more of the b.s. that is f******* up the sport. if the champion wins the fight it should be his option whether or not to give the rematch. or go on to the next worthy oponnent

Floyd tried to fight Castillo... and lost (but got given the decision).

So he fought him again, and ran to a win because JLC couldn't catch him.

If Shane outfights him, he may use the rematch clause and then try to run his way to victory like he did in the 2nd Castillo fight.

    It's clever from him.

If Mosley defeats Floyd then Mosley should dictate what happens next not that he will be forced to give a rematch because it's in the contract.

If the fight deserves a rematch then it will come naturally and will have the full support of the fans.
