Or this... (from news about fights)

    Shane promises KO

Sugar Shane Mosley unleashed a less sweet side of his mild-mannered personality on TBS’ “Lopez Tonight” last night as he declared that he will knock out Floyd Mayweather when they meet in the ring May 1 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Lopez to Mosley: “Can you knock Floyd out?”

    Mosley: “Definitely.”

Lopez: “Will you knock Floyd out?”

Mosley: “I will knock Floyd out.”

Then he should of never signed the contract.

It's part of boxing, been part of boxing for quite some time.

Why the fuss now about it because Mayweather requested it against Mosley?

He's requested it in a lot of his matches. Why no problem with it then?

    If he loses to Mosley.

How could he get the Pac fight?

Do you think before you post?

LOL I'm aware that some boxers wants a rematch clause be included but what's their true purpose for having that? :D

Is it really pride as what many here voted?

This is standard for almost all fighters who have the upper hand in negotiations. Ali had one for frazier, Oscar for Shane- it ALWAYS goes on. its just common practise so that if the bigger name fighter loses- he has a chance to win it back- normally the bigger name has the belt- but in this case- its the other way around- the challenger has the clause. but still floyd is the clearly bigger name.

EVERY champ has had one in our sport- but when Floyd does it- somehow its a matter of fear or pride or some other mortal sin. you guys a so bias and blinded by this crap i dont know how you can seriously call yourselves "boxing fans"- just call yourselves "boxer fans" (there is big a difference ) and get it out in the open.

If Floyd loses, he can forced Mosley to give him a rematch. Floyd can avoid a PAC fight for at least one more fight. :D

Worse, Floyd tied up Mosley for another fight when Mosley should go after the P4P title of PAC next.

I agree in part but take a look of Oscar-Floyd, Oscar is the bigger name and should have enjoyed a rematch clause. The fight was close but Oscar didn't get a rematch. Floyd retired.

your post is correct with one small flaw. floyd is not the champion, he is the challenger.

I was going to ask why Pac would want to fight a guy coming off a loss, but we all know his history of fighting guys coming off a loss.

Are you ****in serious? Oscar didn't need a rematch clause. Floyd practically begged for a rematch despite winning. He only retired after he felt he wasn't getting enough money for the rematch.

    That still doesn't make sense.

Why would Pac fight Floyd if Floyd lost to Mosley?

Fighting Floyd while he's coming off a loss.
