Just in (from scene of boxing).

Ellerbe claimed that Floyd didn't know anything about the rematch clause. :rofl Ellerbe defending Floyd from all the criticisms generated by this particular rematch clause.

Floyd didn't know what he's signing. :rofl

I will assume this is a serious question:

PBF has the titles to lose, if he loses a close decision or gets caught (KOed), obviously he thinks he can change his style and win the second fight and retrieve the title before SSM loses it to someone else. This is a standard boxing contract clause. Secondly, if it is a good fight, then a lot of $ can be made, which is PBF's priority, since if PBF loses, his marketability will go down significantly.

This is what Mosley's trainer Nazim remarked about the rematch clause:

Richardson explained a possible scenario where Mayweather would fold in a few rounds, mentally giving up because he knows a rematch clause is there, and another payday.

“We could get through five rounds of this thing up 5-0. At that point, Mayweather may just say, ‘Forget it, I've got a rematch guaranteed. Try again next time,’” Richardson said to the Los Angeles Times .

Its called due diligence. You never know what might happen in a fight. Just ask Andre Dirrel, Pernell Whitaker, Sergio Martinez, Ali Funeka etc

You sure he has rematch clauses in those fights or they just mutually agreed to have a rematch?

Well I just read that Mayweather knew nothing of the rematch clause and Mayweathers team, not Mayweather himself, requested the rematch clause.

They were rematch clauses. Forrest after beating Mosley in the first fight, wanted to fight big fights but Mosley wouldn't allow it cause he exercise his rematch clause. After Wright beat Mosley in the first fight, Wright wanted to fight Trinidad but Mosley say "no you fighting me again since i got a rematch clause in the contract."

Then Mosley also a ***** but I think the first fight results warrant a rematch. Mosley doing better in the rematch fights tho he still lost in both rematch fights. :D

    I didn't see that post.

I just read it on ***********.

True while it seems like Floyd didn't know what he was signing. It sounds like he trusted his team.

Either way, whether he knew or not is irrelevant.

How did it warrant a rematch if Mosley lost to both Forrest and Wright in the first fight 1 sided?
