What's the real reason boxing has declined in the US and there are less top level guys from the US?

Don't want to be too aggressive, might become toxic!

By that logic we need to discredit wins to every fighter that has ever beaten an aging fighter then

No, we don't. By that logic Wilder still has a question mark beside his name. The two step ups he made since winning his title, have resulted in him being on the brink of getting KO'ed against Ortiz and not being able to finish an out of shape and rusty Fury (and arguably losing that fight instead of getting a draw).

It’s not too overblown tbh.. America’s two past time sports were Boxing and Baseball all the way to the Magic and Bird era in basketball.. It’s just simply not being promoted to younger children as it once was in America.. You have little league football and AAU basketball are the dominant activities for young kids who might like boxing but don’t get the instant gratification that those sports provide.. It also have to do with the instant finances and celebrity those sports provide as oppose to boxing..

The average great boxer might become a $1 million dollar fighter by the time they’re 29-30, where as the NBA player produce that starting at 19 and NFL at about 23.. Not to mention those sports can provide a scholarship to college so it’s way more beneficial to ones life than boxing atm..

You are missing the point . By not giving wilder credit for defeating ortiz simply cuz he was old .then by that standard that must apply to every boxer

Hasn't it always been that way? That's why we use words like 'prime'? You think beating a 50 year old is his career best win? I certainly rest my case!

I'm just saying keep the same energy I give wilder credit for beating ortiz same way I do for for fury beating klitschko. Agree to disagree simple as that

Look no doubt fighting Ortiz twice and Fury in his last few fights is a step up in his opposition. Probably disagree comparing the Ortiz win with Fury beating Klitschko but I can see your point of view. Ortiz- Wilder was a much better fight than Klitschko-Fury and Wlad was terrible that night. If Fury and Wilder fight again in February or just after, my respect for Wilder will increase some more. To be honest, Wilder is better than I thought he was. He punches with the power of mule and never seems to be out of a fight. He has a couple of outstanding fighting qualities, can't believe I just stated that...lol!

Promoters and lack of talents and guides after the period of Tyson and Holy. However English and Ukranian boxing movements was driven so much by the great victories of Lennox Lewis and the Klitschkos.

I'm just saying that I use to bash him for picking on bums I accused him of not having heart and ducking

    1. Coming back at ortiz after almost getting stopped ...... heart proved me wrong there

    2. Still wants to fight fury even after that schooling

Win. ,lose or draw . I cant accuse the guy of being scared and ducking like I use too

It hasn't declined at all, theres just more fighters with more belts spread around so you have less champions from here overall globally expanded since the 2000's.

I'm not calling no one a coward. Wilder fought ortiz and fury and wants a rematch with fury thats enough to show me hes taking risks

Same how AJ fought whyte , parker Ruiz. Taking risks

I'm not complaining about either of them

Wilder fought Ortiz when he found out he was 48 ...RIGHT after it went on social media. Don't say its a lie bc Wilder admitted that he took that fight in his post fight presser .( PEOPLE DIDNT CATCH THAT ,I DID )

Wilder only fought Fury bc Frank Warren told his team that Fury wasn't ready and needed a payday.

Wilder is NOT a risk taker in fact he LOOKS for advantages unlike AJ who WANTS the best possibley opponent. Joshua was NOT a champion when he fought Whyte ,Wilder was fighting guys like Washington( HAND PICKED ) for his 5th title defense ? lol

Go ahead go look up most Wilder opponents in title defense you will see Mr.Risk taker then,Mr BABY who wasn't allowed to fight Wlad . lol

P.S ANYONE declining 120 million is either a coward or stupid ,pick one.
