What's the real reason boxing has declined in the US and there are less top level guys from the US?

The US is a declining empire. Boxing is just one of many areas where the US can't compete anymore.

    Take Tennis

Well the Williams Sisters have dominated the womens game for decades

As for the men, the top mens american players currently are trash. Its not that they are amazing just the rest of the world is even better. They just flat out arent very good.

Same with boxing. Name me the top American fighters currently who would be a top 10 on an american ATG list.

The rest of the world has improved, lomachenko and Usyk are top 5 ATG fighters out of eastern europe imo

But American fighters currently just arent very good from a historic pov and the american boxing system needs to look at why that is. Crawford is the only great american fighter atm.

The us is declining for multiple reasons.
Top athletes have other sports to go too. I can imagine LeBron James would have made one hell of a boxer, instead you get deontay the nfl benchwarmer wilder.
All your kids are fat Facebook warriors (uk is similar) they have it easy and are being raised to believe everyone's a winner.
Eastern Europeans are taking over (tough upbringings)
You make main events from dudes who aren't from the US way too often and the fans don't mind.
America is still the home of boxing, just not the home of boxers

Female sports are irrelevant and just plain garbage, especially tennis where you are allowed to compete with trans athletes.

It would seem like the popularity has gone way done. Especially with MMA and UFC and all of that. Something is different. The quality is not as high at the top. I don't think Canelo would have been able to go to 175 in the 1980s. He is a good fighter and quick and decent sharpness, but his chin would have been tested much more back then.
