In order for Brook to have had a shot with a Haymon fighter, he would've had to vacate his IBF belt because he essentially would've bypassed his mandatory defense.

Haymon wasn't forcing Brook to relinquish his title, he would've been forced to vacate had he decided to go a different route from his IBF mandatory.

 

Spence will make Bel Shook's colon take a different route.
