Normally the promoter decides, although this will obviously be subject to either the (WBC?) santioning body or the Nevada State Commission's regulations

Small ring, sloping up from the centre. Sap more of Floyd's energy as he's running.

    Did he? *******.

i remember the same debate prior to Calzaghe Lacy - in the end they agreed to settle in the middle. No such chance if its in floyds contract, it'll be maximum size, is that 24x24 or 22x22 ?

To be fair GB is Hattons promoter so everything else is going to be in Hattons favour! Ring size should not determine a fight!

Of course it can determin a fight! It plays a massive part when you have two fighters like Hatton and PBF!!!!!

If they fight in a tiny ring, Mayweather wins, in a giant ring, Mayweather wins. If they fight on a pancake, mayweather wins.

Ring size and glove size need to shrink so hopefully the ring will not be big.

You said "ring size should not determin a fight" - Im not debating who wins this fight, but the fact ring size, quite clearly, has a massive part to play in boxing. If it didnt matter floyd wouldnt have it in his contract, would he?

Calzaghe Lacy for example. Lacy wanted the fight ina phone box, calzaghe wanted it in a sports hall. Same with mayweather hatton. Floyd will want as much room as he can, Ricky wont.

Like other sports there should be one size for all courts, pitches and rings, therefore eliminating any debate! They should just pick the mean average used and stick with that for every title fight.
