Other than any fight that has seriously injured or left a fighter dead which really goes without saying when asked a question like this i would say one of the saddest things ive seen in this sport was Mike Tyson v Danny Williams. I loved Mike and i just didnt like him carrying on way to far getting knocked out by people who once wouldnt of lasted a round with him. I know we see a similar thing time and time again with Boxers but that one got to me a little bit.

Another one was Ricky Hattons attempted come back fight after the Pacquaio loss. You could see Ricky himself really wanted to believe he was ready to kick on but i think he knew and it wasnt the loss, it wasnt how he lost, it was watching reality slapping Hatton in the face as much as he didnt want it to be true and i felt like i could see this realization hitting home before my very eyes. Again im a really big Ricky Hatton fan and i really felt for him that night.

Also the Haye Harrison fight. So so sad watching a man so scared to throw a punch just in case he got hit once, there was pure fear on Audleys face and when you are a scared fighter you are beaten fighter. I just felt really sorry for him, i could imagine how after a terrible loss and terrible performance he kept sorting his head out, knuckled down, be a bit braver next time. But then when that 1st bell rang all the badness came back.

    Easily, the Valero tragedy.

He had talent like people can only dream about, an angel for a wife, and drugs killed them both.

The fact Ali was a racist, his involvement with the Elijah Muhammad cult, his abject insistence in demeaning his adversaries and the price he paid for it in his later life.

Lastly, the disgusting spectacle of a great champion like Golovkin deciding to sell his belts to a career criminal and carrying him throughout 24 rds without using bodyshots while willingly absorbing severe punishment.
The game politics made it clear which conditions would be in place if a foreigner like him wanted part of superfights.

That ones on my list, Ali- Holmes, Aaron Pryor's last fight. There are so many aging fighter fights that rank badly. Pick a Roy Jones fight at the end.

Oscar Diaz dropping into a coma live on ESPN then dying a while later.

Along with the other life altering tragedies mentioned in the thread.

That's what i've been writing on this site for the past year.

Sanchez is the one who instigated it all. Gennady wasn't going to wreck the cash cow.
If he wanted a superfight before his career was over, he had to agree to the terms.
