    arturo gatti against floyd mayweather.
it was almost too much to watch, gatti had no chance at all, yet he took a massive beating from mayweather who was simply brilliant on the night.
also, when gatti was beaten by alfonso gomez, that last big punch he took, that left him on the floor with blood pouring from his mouth. a sad end for a fighter who gave so much of himself to boxing.

A man who cannot feel something for the loser of a bout, especially a war, has no place in boxing whatsoever. as a fan, or a participant, in whatever area. So yeah, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

On a side note, any fight where a once great fighter is reduced to nothing at the end of a career is sad to see. I wish Holyfield would retire for example. For me, the saddest sight was seeing Gatti get knocked out by Gomez, in a fight that jus shouldnt of happened. Gatti had previouly been knocked out by Baldomir, a guy with next to no punch. THAT, was your warning sign right there. Once punch resistance is gone, there really is no going back. And I pray that one day, more stringently enforced guidelines will be implemented to protect these great fighters who give so much.

meldrick taylor getting 'losing' to chavez the first time was heartbreaking and the rematch years later was just downright sad

marquez not getting the decision against pac nearly had me in tears and i moped around for about a week.it was heartbreaking realising what a bull**** sport boxing can be sometimes

Being with idols 'n ATG's (slashing great fighters 'n dandies) I grew up with, 'n seeing 'em years later -- in thread-bare clothes, dark glasses, bumping into things -- empty shells assisted by aids or loyal buds

I got to work with Rone in the early 2000's....he was the most well-loved person in boxing I knew...Always fought hard, though his record wasn't full of glitz and glammer...Rest In Peace Brad Rone
