What's the status on a potential Pirog-Gaele fight?

    I wanna know. :D

Very much interested in seeing them in a unification war, looking at Gaele's workrate vs Pirog's accuracy... some FOTY material.

Make them fight on the next Maravilla HBO PPV and milk a mega MW clash between winners.

Martinez, Macklin/Rubio/Junior, Gaele and Pirog on PPV and the Middleweight division is alive for good. :smoke

Last update I read was HBO was interested in early 2012, but we'll probably have to wait til Hershman officially steps in to hear alot of fights like this which need that HBO money.

If only Martinez had some initiative regarding a plan B (vs plan A e.g. money fight with Pac/May) and went to see HBO execs with names like Pirog, Gaele, Macklin, even Rubio or Lee assuming Sturm will never come back to the US...

Kid Chocolate is the American MW star HBO should be promoting, and all the aforementioned names along with Martinez make an awesome point of giving a good budget to MW cards over at HBO.

For all we know Hershman could set up a single elimination (re: lessons learned) tourney for MW's, with the right to fight Martinez who could take care of whatever money fight or mando in the meantime. I'd love to see that.

MW is where it's going to be at. This Monday Golovkin is officially a free agent and will be on ESPN.com as the co-main to Wlad's fight. I expect him to hook up with Lou or GB or TR shortly after.

I'm not too sold on Quillin yet, but he's a solid guy to have there like Lee, Geale, Macklin, and Rubio. I hope Lemieux gets his head right. Also Korobov will be stepping up soon, and I think he's going to impress people when he does.
