Time and time again we're hearing about big fights involving Brook not happening. I'm a fan of his, like his technical style, but this cat needs to start fighting big names. Porter was a good win, and I thought he did school him. I have no doubt he's one of the very best WW's in the world, so why are these fights not happening? Is he avoiding these opponents, or are people unwilling to fight him? I think his style troubles a lot of guys, so it is feasible a lot of these guys aren't keen on fighting him. Either way, he needs the big fights soon if he wants any kind of a legacy.

school porter? i dont think it was a schooling but a victory it was nonetheless and a good scalp on his resume and probably the only good name.

i like kell too i think eddie hearn his promoter/manager is holding him back for whatever ghastly reason

Holding him back for what though? Surely it's in their own financial interests too to have him in big money spinning fights.

Brook looks like the top 147 pounder in the world and desperately wants the Khan fight, which Khan doesn't. But one of the biggest problems in world boxing today is that almost all of the top guys don't get into the ring together and, it's usually the promoters and their buddies, the alphabet organizations, fault.

Nah, I think 147 being full of bums is entirely on their own shoulders.

Hearn won't put his hand in his pocket to get the best fighters to come over and the best fighters won't risk coming over unless they're paid well.

    This is the result.

It's about Eddie Hearn. He wants either mega fights, or zero risk fights, nothing inbetween. The only mega fight Brook could get was Amir Khan so he pushed it all he could and when that fell through Brook is back to fighting nobodies. Brook should leave Hearn, go to US and beat Spence. That's the only way he will get a big fight.

High risk low reward. I do believe it's that simple.

I'm not exactly a fan of Hearn, or Brook, but anyone who believes he turned down Cotto or will is hoping to fight Paulie on PPV is a fool.

It's not just 147 that the best don't usually unify, or if they're not champs, fight each other in the 1st place.

Agreed, I scored the Porter fight 10-2 for Brook. Ask Hans and he'll tell you everyone has ducked, ask anyone else and they'll tell you Brook is in no rush to fight a big name. The guys been boxing for YEARS and hasn't done anything of note aside from school Porter. I hope the Spence fight happens.

Brook is a good fighter but he based in northern England a bit like bomber Graham big fights passed him by if he had gone to London or fought in the states more he could have got the bigger fights as it was fighters avoided him .Brook is strong and a good boxer but I think he will struggle with speed he likes to slow a fight with the guys he's fighting he can do this the top fighters will not let that happen. I keep thinking about the Carson Jones fight Brook was in big trouble late hanging on .

Kahn took the easier of the two fights for more money.
