Whats the word on Pavlik next opponent?

    Any new news on it?:huh Last I heard was.......

    Winky Wright is in talks with Arum to make a fight if not now a little later after Winky has a tune up.
    There is a rumor that Pavlik might Anthony Mundine in Sept.
    John Duddy is out as he is moving down to 154.
    Sergio Mora is out as he wants to much money.
    Paul Williams is out as he wants to much money.
    Marco Antonio Rubio is out as HBO nor Showtime will pay for a fight with Pavlik.
    Arthur Abraham is out as he has to fight Raul Marquez next.
    Randy Girffin out because just lost too Sturm.
    Felix Sturm is out because he has to fight Sebastian Sylvester next.
    Mikkel Kessler is out because he has to fight Danilo Haussler next.
    Other name that has popped up is number one WBO ranked Sebastian Zbik as a opponent for Pavlik.
    I have read that the Germans talked to Arum about Pavlik and Abraham on a double bill with Abraham fighting Marquez and Pavlik fighting Rubio I think they should do this with the fights taking place in Germany:deal

    Still no word. Arum throws out as many names as possible and people get all excited cuz sooner or later, their favorite fighter gets mentioned.

    Pavlik-Lockett 2

    Lockett was on his way to victory when the ref stopped the fight way too early. It was Locketts plan to look like he was screwed then BAM, Pavlik KTFO.

    diaz was willingly taking shots waitin for pac to tire,until diaz slipped&the ref prematurely stopped the fight,up til then it was all goin to plan for dd:lol:

    naa theres no way lockettt was outclassed by pavlik... pavlik had way to much experience for him and how are you goin to go down 3 times in a fight as a part of your game plan

    Abraham would look like the bum if he ever fought Mundine.

    It's one thing to have power but Abraham would get tagged by Mundine's hand speed before he even looks like landing a power shot.

    Like most of the fighters promoted in Germany Abraham has been managed well. Problem will be when he fights a top class boxer that can do more than slug away like Miranda.

    Pavlik's straight right hand would break his jaw again although there'd be no going the distance. At least Mundine can adapt, unlike Abraham.

    We have yet to see if Mundine can even make weight, let alone fight at 160. Either Amsterdam or TFFP said he looks pretty drained at weigh in at 168.

    He was only on sparingly after Pavlik/Lockett and then just dropped out of site. I think he had a Pavlik/Abraham lifetime ban bet, but that hasn't happend. So, just don't know. Maybe he just felt he needed a break. He said work was bad and it may have picked up. Just don't know.
