I just pulled up his posts. His last one was around noon May 30. No indications he wouldn't be around.

 

Well -- I hope he is okay. I sent him a PM about mid june and never got a response.

 

Yeah. He said work hadn't been good to him, but then he seemed to be putting in some long days, so hard to say.

I didn't think there still were anyone that bought into this. Where have you been? It has been settled that Kessler did not avoid Miranda - in fact he got Miranda a better deal with a fight on HBO instead of Showtime and he lobbied successfully to have Miranda instated on WBAs list so that he and Kessler could meet for the WBA belt.

This fact has been stated over and over. It seems there are still the occasional fan that doesn't know this.

In fact, Kessler has stated many times that he would love to fight Pavlik.

 

They shouldve gotten a deal done w/ Sergio Mora no matter what...That was an ideal opponent.

-Easy win for pavlik (IMO)
-Good for legacy (beating an undefeated fighter, winner of contender)
-Marketable (sergio mora is known outside of boxing...theres a lot of guys who don't know any1 else on ur list besides arthur abraham)

 

The Mora fight would have been a sellable fight ..Dam Arum I can't beleive he wouldn't budge from 1.2 to 1.5 wtf is that about ..

 

It has also been stated over and over the Kessler offer came TOO LATE to fight Miranda. He had moved on to Abraham. IF it ever happened at all. Only his manager and promoter ever made these claims. Find me somewhere else that this was shown.

I am not blaming Miranda for it either, He has lined Abraham up before Kessler came with the offer. Palle should have let Miranda know what they were planning.

 

All the posibles oponent that have been rumored to fight Pavlik:

Duddy = he schedule to fight for the light middle title
Wright = is not a big money fight but he is asking fo a lot of money
Paul Williams = He call out Pavlik but don't know if they are negotiating.
Rubio = for me the definitive candidate and the worse of all.
Mora = He had a obligation to fight Forrest again.
Calzaghe = almost a done deal with Roy jones

Well for the only fighter left is the incredible P4P fighter in Rubio.

 

There was an article indicating Winky was getting more realistic about the money. Maybe after so long not being able to get what he wants. $1.2 mill is starting to look attractive. Plus the title shot. If he thinks he can win then he could turn the titles into cash.
