Maybe for educational purposes.........I recently subjected myself to watching some Galindez and Eddie Mustafa Muhammad fights, and they are painfully boring fighters to watch, at least to me. I despise watching either of them, but felt I needed some education for historical purposes.

What boring pieces of crap have you watched just to say you've seen it?

Some of vlad & vits fights recently bored me to the point of being embarrassed for the sport - I was actually turning over to see what was on on the other channels during the Sam Peter match - I always end up thinking halfway through most of their fights "this is what's killing boxing" - I support and big up the sport every chance I can get but even I start saying to myself "I'm just not interested anymore" when I'm watching those guys so god knows what the general public are probably thinkin??

I hear you. Modern boxing doesn't interest me in the least. I couldn't name a third of today's champions, such as they are.

I'll give this portion of the thread an "I hear you too". Like Rocky, it takes a lot for me to sit through any of the Klitschko fights and I also find myself surfing the channels while they plod and poke their way to wins. The sad state of the heavyweight division has caused a lot of casual fans to turn away from boxing. Fortunately, I like the lower weights for the action and a lot of them bring substantial power to the ring.

As far as today's champions-----with the alphabet soup that calls itself the governing bodies of boxing and their numerous title holders, it seems almost every fight in the 12 round range is for some sort of title. All that does is cheapen the belts held by the true talent out there.

Jackson/Hopkins is hard to watch as their styles just don't mesh well. I'm half-watching it right now but it's pretty bad(not really Hopkins fault as at this time he was entertaining). Very ugly fight which I'm glad ends in a TKO.

Sounds awful :-( (as are most of Hopkins' fights to watch) but for some reason I want you to keep posting about it tho?? That might be just so I can see the girl in your avatar keep popping up every now and then tho? :D

See, I know who Hopkins is, but I have no idea which Jackson you're referring to. Is this a recent fight?

Not really, during his reign he was for the most part he was very offensive. In the 5th and 6th he is tagging Jackson every now and then and really wants the ko. 7th round is a repeat of Hopkins' dominance and he lets his hands go to eventually stop him.

Hopkins is the last MW champ to unify the major titles in the MW division. He had 20 title defenses and after...just messing with you. John David Jackson is who I meant. The first few rounds where awful but Hopkins kept pressing the action more and things started heating up at times past the 2nd. For the most part Jackson fought in survival mode and didn't mesh with Hopkins at all. This fight is after his beating he gave Bo james. This is two fights before his fight with Simon Brown.

Anything with Lennox Lewis. I honestly found him dead pan, overly cautious and flat footed... I have deliberately avoided watching anything the Klits get up to.

Agreed on the Klits, painfully bad viewing material.

As far as the topic title, Jones-Calzaghe sticks out for me. Truly awful, and the british response made me want to kill myself. It still makes me want to kill myself.

Yeah, I think. He fought Castro twice and got ko'd the first fight and lost a decision in the second. Oddly he trained Hopkins for his fight with Tarver even though him and Hopkins fought years ago.
