For all the hype, De La Hoya-Trinidad was terrible. Derrick Gainer-Freddie Norwood has to be up there for me as well. For those that haven't seen it, here you go. Remember these are the highlights. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb1y46FlbNM[/ame]
There have been so many..........Page-Tubbs (I laughed out loud the other day when I saw someone here in the youtube thread had it on his wish list), Ali-Young, Wlad-anybody........the one that really stands out though was Lewis-Phil Jackson back in probably '93. It was as if God was punishing me for being a boxing fan. It may or may not have been any worse than any of those others, but mabe it's because I had some friends over to watch it, and a couple of us (me included) actually dozed off.
Yes...Wlad/Iggy was one of the worst title fights I've ever seen. Povetkin/Sykes was a lower level fight that was bad enough that I would actually remember it. Which is pretty bad.
"parry" Most of the time he wasn't really parrying an actual punch even. Barney Rubble would just have his damn hand out and Wlad would slap it down. ...I've never seen a major fight quite like it. ...Remarkable. Just remarkable.
