he still got on the national news. other than David Haye who was the last boxer to get mentioned on the new 7 weeks away from his fight?? you think if haye and wlad had gone on, hugged and talked about how much they respect eachothers skills it would have been on the news?

when was Froch last on BBC News at 6pm?

 

I didnt say he'd be buying all hayes fights from now on but just the fact he knows who he is now shows how effective haye is at raising his profile through self promotion.

I'm pretty sure that they don't give a **** what I think, and nor would I expect them to. It's not as if I'm his brother or best mate or something is it?

Mayweather hasn't had a fight in about a year and people are still talking about him yes, mostly taking the **** and calling him a coward. His attempts to make himself into some kind of global Ali/Leonard type figure have failed miserably.

He's an attention *****, that's all. In the grand scheme of things he's no longer relevant in the boxing scene. Do a poll on here if you like, see what results you get :hey

Haye's antics may increase PPV sales to a point, but it's not going to dramatically increase them from where they'd have been had he just played the normal baddie. I just won't accept that no matter how often you say it. Feel free to attempt to back this up with evidence if you wish.

Haye's managed to get himself out there by beating a big oaf that lost to a 46 year old Holyfield, and fair play to him for doing that. But don't pretend that these latest antics are going to propel the viewing figures into orbit from where they'd have been if the fight had taken place a year ago. Haye was hotter news back then in the mainstream than he is now - and not held in disdain by many general boxing fans.

I'll be round at a mate's house chipping in my £3 as per, I'm sure you'll be pleased to know, along with Haye's accountant.
