Pavlik still ducked Paul last time when he pulled out due to an "injury" AKA Pavlik was hitting the bottle too much. Williams would still school Pavlik if they ever fought. Now you got these morons talking about how Pavlik would've knocked Williams out. Here's what we do know: 1.) Pavlik got his ass schooled by a 55 year old Hopkins 2.) Pavlik got his face cut up into 1000 pieces by Martinez, who Williams already beat 3.) Pavlik is a raging alcoholic who wanted nothing of Paul last year
Just because some Pavlik fans are dicks doens't mean you should Insult and hate on Pavlik, beat by Hopkins and Martinez maybe, but KTFO cold he hasn't been.
Watching Williams' inability to learn from the first fight and adapt, it did make me re-assess my initial prediction for a Pavlik-Williams fight. Williams' defence has proved to be awful, he fails to utilize his physical advantages, and he hasn't hit the expectations I had of him a couple of years ago. I think Pavlik, if on top of his game, would also grab a knockout/stoppage of some sort.
nothing that happened changed my opinion that williams is not a mw, wuold get into a trading contest with kelly and would eventually have his lights turned out. it would be a shootout while it lasted and very entertaining. i like williams and that is not talking smack. i don't know of any of pav's real fans on here being bitter at all towards williams b/c of last night.
During the worst performance of Pavlik's career he lost to Martinez 8-4 or 7-5 depending on who you give round 4 to. That same version of Pavlik stops Williams in 7-8 rounds. The peak 2006-2007 version of Pavlik stops PDub in 5 rounds or less, and probably changes Paul's life forever. That has nothing to do with hating on Paul, or being a "bitter" Pavlik fan. Styles make fights, and Paul's face first, balls out style will never work against a bigger, stronger, smarter fight who hits at least twice as hard as anyone Williams ever fought, and has a very good chin.
